MammoPad Breast Cushion

To help make women more comfortable during a potentially life-saving mammogram, MedStar Harbor Hospital now offers the MammoPad cushion. This simple, soft foam cushion covers the mammogram's metal tray, making the mammogram experience "softer" for the patient.

The Importance of Mammograms

Mammograms help screen for breast cancer, which is usually found in lumps, cysts and tumors in the breast. Breast cancer can be detected early with regular mammograms; this machine detects small tumors and cysts before they are felt by the patient. Having regular mammograms can reduce a woman's risk of developing breast cancer.

Who Should Get Mammograms?

Women age 40 and older
Women who have a family history of breast cancer

Free Screening

The Baltimore City Breast & Cervical Program at MedStar Harbor Hospital offers free breast and cervical cancer screenings to eligible women.

Mammography Hours:

Monday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
