Govind Maheshwari
Assistant Vice President, Finance
As assistant vice president of finance, Govind Maheshwari is responsible for financial planning, reimbursement, decision support, productivity analysis, feasibility studies, professional fee billing and access management. As a member of MedStar Harbor Hospital's executive leadership team, Maheshwari is intimately involved in strategic planning, physician contracting strategies and service enhancement initiatives.
Prior to his tenure at MedStar Harbor Hospital, Maheshwari managed a multi-physician practice. Maheshwari has also taught at Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold, Maryland as an adjunct professor.
Maheshwari has completed his education in United Kingdom and United States. He holds a bachelor's degree in biology and business administration, a master's degree in finance and has done extensive academic work in marketing and accounting.
Maheshwari has earned the titles of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP). He serves as a member of the Healthcare Finance Management Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Maheshwari has served on the board of Visiting Nurses Association of Maryland (a member of both Finance and Governing Committees) and currently serves on the board of Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce.
